The 'black triangle' is a feminine reference to the white cube space. It is made as a wooden tryptic which is folded in. From the outside it looks like a black minimalistic monolith, while inside, it consist of a big panoramic sweet and bitter psychedelic painting of contemporary ruins of Gaza. The black triangle can be seen as an alternative exhibition space which is totally claustrophobic and barely fits one person at a time. It explores the idea of forced intimacy of a work of art upon the viewer – It can function as a trap, a cell, or a hiding place. It is a painting that pathetically tries to overcome its 2 dimensionality. it invites the viewer in, physically captures him for a moment, in a hope to challenge the way in which we are used to perceive images.
