Noëlie de Raadt (1992) mainly works with sound installations, texts and drawings. Her research is based on the close relationship between sound and space, focusing on their impact on each other.
She has recorded many different sonic environments and tend with her immersive installations to create images for ears. The audience, often plunged into darkness, loses his reference points and is invited to a sensitive journey between dream and reality.
The textual part of her work has a playful aspect. She uses lyrics of pop songs as an endless material of creation. By extracting, distorting, or matching them, she gives a new status to these daily songs, in order to disturb the viewers’ habits.
