Floriane Grosset’s interest is the process of diffusion and showing pictures and its resulting perception. Through books, pre-cinematic objects, performance-spectacle, videos, films, she interrogates the qualities of the images, as material objects and objects of truth. Her images and stories are often related to architecture structures and spaces, as places of enclosing and alienating the bodies and the minds.
Investigating the city becomes important in her practice, as a playground to show art works, outside the usual art institutions and the fake neutrality of the white-cube, and reconnect art in a daily life context. From this perspective, the forms she uses tends to be simple and in an economy of means.
Currently, Floriane Grosset is a student in the Master 1 of fine art at the Fakultet for Kunst, Musikk og Design in Bergen, Norway.
